The night vision channel amplifies ambient light or IR illumination to reveal details up to 300m in total darkness, while the 640x480 thermal sensor detects body heat without any light - seeing through darkness, brush and fog. 1x optical magnification with a wide 22-degree field of view (~328m/1000m) suits head-mounted walking, plus 3.5x digital zoom. 8 viewing modes: 4 night-vision palettes (color/B&W/green/red) and 4 thermal palettes (white-hot/red-hot/ironbow/arctic).
